1. Where does a
portrait session take place?
Environmental
Portraiture takes place on location featuring stunning views and natural
scenery such as The Heather Farms Gardens, The Palace of Fine Arts, Lake
Tahoe, The Golden Gate Bridge and California’s Pacific Coast just to
name a few.
· Locations
are exclusively tailored to your personal interests.
2. What should I wear to make
the most of my portrait session?
There are a few simple guidelines in designing your timeless outdoor
portrait:
· Casual clothing in one or two theme shades of neutral and medium colors.
· Classic blues, white, khaki and black such as jeans and a long sleeve
black shirt work well all year long.
· Avoid busy patterns and bright colors.
3. How much time
do I need to allow for my portrait session?
A portrait
session is individually tailored for each client’s particular needs.
· Please allow for about a two-hour photo session plus travel time.
4. When is the best time of the day for a
portrait session?
Natural
lighting creates the beauty in timeless portraiture and the best time of
day is one hour before sunset.
· Please allow ample time for preparation at our exclusively selected
location.
5. Will my portrait session images be
available for proofing and ordering online?
Yes,
absolutely! We are excited to announce that through a partnership with
Photo Reflect,
on-line viewing and ordering is available.
· Please allow about two weeks for your photo session pre-view to be
on-line.
6. How much does
a portrait cost and what’s included in the making of a beautiful
portrait?
We start by
having an initial meeting discussing what your interests are and what
type of portraiture you’re looking for such as weddings or families.
There will be at least a total of three meetings:
· The
first meeting is a discovery meeting either by phone or in person
discussing personal interests, location, style, clothing, props, make-up
and pricing.
· The second meeting is the Portrait Session at a prearranged location and
time.
· The third meeting is formal viewing and selection at my office.
· My
typical fee is $150 for a One hour Portrait Session (less than 4
people) and $250. for an extended Portrait Session, one and a half
hours.
· Prints
are an additional cost which can be purchased during the formal viewing
and/or on-line through
Photo Reflect.
7. How will I
know which frame to choose for my portrait?
There are many styles and sizes of frames available and I do offer my
professional advice on designing a molding that will enhance the beauty
of your portrait.
· I offer a large variety of custom frames, mattes and sizes to choose
from.
· We
also offer albums, accordion portfolios and 8 way portfolios for
keepsake treasures of your portrait session.
